This view is looking south on the Pandale Dirt road from about 1.5 miles north of Langtry.
This hill is known as "Blair's Hill". Although there have been blair's caught on the hill, I have never been so fortunate. One night, in the mid 70's, I thought that I had found one. I jumped out of my VW van and rolled across the road after the snake. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a checkered garter snake. Also unfortunately I had failed to fully set the hand brake and my van continued on without me. It finally rolled off the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill and got hung up on some rocks. Fortunately there were other herpers in the area who helped get it back on the road.
