Hylactophryne augusti latrans

The barking frogs are one of my favorites. In the range of this work they are found in a narrow band in Val Verde and Terrell counties.
They are very secretive and seldom seen. They generally frequent limestone caves and crevices. They rarely appear on the road, but are sometimes found there after rains.
This specimen is about four inches long.

Notice the circular folds on the belly, the toe pads and the numerous tubercles on the feet.
